Center Subspace

Definition
In linearized analysis near a collinear libration point, the subspace spanned by eigenvectors corresponding to eigenvalues with modulus equal to 1. Both periodic and quasi-periodic orbits exist within the center subspace. Unlike the stable and unstable directions of the saddle-type subspace, motions within the center subspace neither diverge nor converge, sustaining quasi-periodic oscillations.
