Definition
An orbit determination method proposed by Gooding in 1996. It solves the minimal orbit determination problem from three lines of sight by iteratively solving the two-point boundary value problem (Lambert problem). The scheme naturally extends to multiple observations and is computationally efficient.
Application Value
This concept provides fundamental support in cislunar space research and mission design. In practical applications, the appropriate analysis method should be selected based on specific mission scenarios and constraints.
