Definition
The deviation of actual thrust output from commanded thrust, caused by manufacturing tolerances, nozzle erosion, propellant supply fluctuations, and similar factors. In station-keeping Monte-Carlo simulations, propulsion error is typically modeled with a normal distribution at two percent of commanded thrust. Together with navigation error and engine limitations, propulsion error constitutes the practical constraints of station-keeping and significantly affects the success rate for near rectilinear halo orbits.
