x-Axis Crossing Control, XAC

Definition
A shooting-based station-keeping method for cislunar libration point orbits. XAC executes maneuvers near perilune at the xz-plane crossing, matching the x-direction velocity component between the predicted trajectory and the baseline at their respective xz-plane crossings. XAC exploits the orbit's xz-plane symmetry but can control at most three state components per maneuver, inherently causing phase deviation. Both the CAPSTONE mission and Gateway adopt or study XAC.
Application Value
The x轴穿越控制 concept is applied in cislunar space research, providing technical support or analytical methods for lunar exploration missions.
