Definition
Rotating coordinate frame in the circular restricted three-body problem with origin at the barycenter of the three-body system, x-axis pointing from the primary to the secondary body, and z-axis along the angular momentum direction of the two primaries, forming a right-handed system with the xy plane.
Application Value
The Syzygy Frame plays a significant role in cislunar space mission design, analysis, and control. In orbital design, it can be leveraged for transfer trajectory optimization; in navigation and control, it improves mission execution precision and reliability; in system analysis, it facilitates deeper understanding of complex multi-body dynamical behavior, guiding mission planning and risk assessment.
