Definition

One mode of relative motion near triangular libration points, with a period of approximately one month and an axis ratio of approximately 2. Pure short-period relative motion can be obtained by selecting specific initial velocity conditions to filter out the long-period component; its in-plane frequency is close to the out-of-plane frequency, allowing a planar approximation to achieve near-circular formations.
