Definition
The fundamental parameter of the circular restricted three-body problem, defined as the ratio of the Moon's mass to the total Earth-Moon mass, i.e., μ = M₂/(M₁+M₂). The Earth-Moon system's mass parameter is approximately 0.01215. Under normalization, this parameter uniquely determines the system's dynamical properties, including Lagrange point locations, zero-velocity curve shapes, and orbit family structures.
