Definition
A transfer trajectory arrival at the target orbit where the velocity is tangent to the orbit, meaning all velocity components except along-track are zero at the arrival point. In this paper, when the transfer trajectory intersects the DRO tangentially at the x-axis crossing (x_dot and z_dot both zero), insertion cost is minimized. Nontangential arrival requires additional maneuvering to nullify residual components.
