Definition
A phenomenon where the third body lingers temporarily near the second primary without being permanently bound. In the CR3BP, trajectories in the unstable manifolds of libration point orbits can enter the region around the second primary, complete several revolutions with negative Keplerian energy, then escape or collide as the energy turns positive. Smaller LPOs (larger Jacobi constant) produce more persistent captures.
