Definition
A rotating coordinate frame centered at the Sun-Earth barycenter, with the x-axis pointing from the Sun to Earth, the y-axis along the orbital motion direction, and the z-axis perpendicular to the ecliptic plane. Both the Sun and Earth remain stationary in this frame. The equations of motion include Coriolis and centrifugal terms. In the BCP model, this frame describes spacecraft motion from Earth departure to the lunar flyby segment and serves as the primary reference frame for designing low-energy lunar trajectories with flybys.
