In the restricted three-body problem, five points where the gravitational pull of two massive bodies balances the centrifugal force in the rotating frame. L1, L2, L3 are collinear; L4, L5 form equilateral triangles. The invariant manifold tubes near L1 serve as critical pathways for low-energy Earth-Moon transfers.
