Definition
In sliding mode control, the control input obtained by setting the time derivative of the sliding surface to zero, representing the nominal control required for ideal sliding motion on the surface. For the integral sliding surface, the equivalent control has the same analytical form as the linear quadratic optimal control law. The actual sliding mode control law adds a discontinuous switching term to the equivalent control to compensate for disturbances and uncertainties.
Application Value
This concept is applicable in cislunar space mission design, orbit optimization, and trajectory planning for spacecraft transfers and maneuver strategies.
