Definition
In the planar CR3BP, the manifold tube surface separates two types of motion: transit orbits that pass through the tube interior and connect regions on opposite sides of the libration point, and nontransit orbits that remain outside. The separatrix is the key topological structure governing flow through the libration point gateway.
