Definition
The angular position of a spacecraft relative to the line connecting the two primary bodies in the synodic coordinate system. The triangular libration point L₄ corresponds to a position angle of 60°, and the deviation Δλ characterizes the spacecraft's drift from the libration point.
Application Value
This concept plays an important role in cislunar space mission design and orbital dynamics analysis.
