Definition
A classification of trans-lunar trajectories by orbital direction: the spacecraft moves prograde (same as Earth's rotation) in the geocentric segment and retrograde (opposite to Moon's revolution) near the Moon. Free-return trajectories for crewed lunar missions typically use this type.
