Definition
A hyperplane that reduces a continuous dynamical system to a discrete map. In the circular restricted three-body problem, the SOS is commonly defined by y=0 with ẏ<0. Each crossing of the hyperplane yields a point; repeated integration produces a Poincaré map that reveals the distribution of regular and chaotic regions in phase space.
Application Value
The 截面 concept provides technical support and analytical methods for cislunar space research and lunar exploration missions.
