The process of selecting the optimal time interval between stationkeeping maneuvers. For Earth-Moon libration point orbits, maneuver frequency directly affects delta-V consumption and operational complexity. Folta et al. (2010) showed for ARTEMIS that one maneuver per orbit costs several times more than two per orbit at x-axis crossings; a weekly frequency effectively controls accumulated errors while matching the 3-day navigation solution delivery cadence; reducing to 3.8 days yields marginal improvement. ARTEMIS ultimately adopted a 7-day frequency.
