Definition
The degree to which the Moon's gravitational field deviates from a uniform spherical distribution. Mass concentrations (mascons) and other anomalies cause strong perturbations on low-altitude orbits, making single-impulse stabilization of orbits with perilune altitudes below 100 km extremely difficult.
