Definition
A modified manifold formed by applying a velocity impulse along the natural unstable manifold. Since the natural manifold typically does not reach the target orbit altitude, a deliberate maneuver at a chosen point redirects the trajectory, enabling it to intersect the target orbit. Disturbed manifolds extend the feasible transfer region beyond the fixed intersection points of natural zero-cost trajectories.
