Definition
The time interval during which a ground station or lunar facility maintains line-of-sight (unobstructed direct visibility) with a spacecraft. In constellation coverage analysis, access time percentage is the core metric for evaluating communication support capability. Analysis in this paper shows that the dual-spacecraft 12-day L1 halo orbit scheme achieves 100% lunar surface access coverage for the Shackleton crater facility.
