Definition

The maximum oscillation displacement of a Lissajous orbit in the xy-plane (near the ecliptic), denoted A_x. Combined with the out-of-plane amplitude A_z, it determines the orbit shape. Studies show that SE Lissajous orbits with large A_x (>100,000 km) and small A_z (<150,000 km) are most suitable as targets for cross-system transfers.

Application Value

This concept plays an important role in cislunar space orbit design and optimization, providing theoretical support for orbital transfer and station-keeping operations.
