Definition
A low-energy transfer technique that exploits solar gravitational perturbation. When a spacecraft's orbital energy lies near the weak stability boundary, the periodic solar gravitational disturbance is sufficient to alter its orbit, enabling temporary lunar capture or energy change without active propulsion. The transfer arc typically extends beyond the lunar orbit, resulting in longer flight times but significantly reduced propellant consumption.
