Definition
The effective potential function in the rotating frame of the CRTBP, defined as the sum of the centrifugal potential and the gravitational potentials of both primary bodies. In nondimensional form: U = (x² + y²)/2 + (1-μ)/r₁ + μ/r₂. Its gradient determines the net acceleration direction at zero velocity, and zero-velocity curves are level surfaces of the pseudopotential.
