Three-Impulse Lunar Halo Transfer

Definition
A three-burn transfer scheme from an Earth parking orbit to a lunar Halo orbit. The first burn (about 3.1 km/s) departs the parking orbit. After 3–10 days, a second burn (180–220 m/s) near periselenium injects the spacecraft onto the stable manifold of the target Halo orbit. After 3–20 days along the manifold, a third burn (0–160 m/s) captures the spacecraft into the Halo orbit. It saves 420–800 m/s over direct fast transfers and reduces flight time by 70–100 days compared to WSB transfers.
