Definition
The maximum out-of-plane displacement of a halo orbit in the z-direction, characterizing its three-dimensional nature. In the L2 halo family, Az first increases then decreases as the orbit approaches the primary.
Application Value
The 面外振幅 concept is applied in cislunar space research, providing technical support or analytical methods for lunar exploration missions.
