Definition

The linear stability character of collinear libration points in the CRTBP. In two dimensions it is center-saddle; in three dimensions it is center-center-saddle. The center directions correspond to bounded motion while the saddle direction produces hyperbolic behavior, which is the mathematical origin of stable and unstable manifolds.
