Definition
A sliding surface design in sliding mode control that adds an integral term of state deviation to the conventional state deviation term. The integral term accumulates deviation history from the initial time to the current time, eliminating steady-state errors. In station-keeping, the equivalent control on this surface equals the optimal control law, making the sliding motion optimal with respect to the quadratic performance index.
