Definition
An orbit in the planar DRO family that is not a bifurcation of its own family becomes one after m revolutions, giving rise to an m-bifurcation spatial periodic orbit family. For example, a 5-bifurcation planar DRO traverses the x-y plane five times, from which a new spatial periodic family bifurcates. This is the primary method for extending planar DROs to three-dimensional spatial DROs.
Application Value
This concept is applicable in cislunar space mission design, orbit optimization, and trajectory planning for spacecraft transfers and maneuver strategies.
