Definition
Thrust directed opposite to the orbital velocity vector. In lunar capture phases, anti-tangential thrust decelerates the spacecraft, progressively lowering its orbit from high to low lunar orbit. It is the optimal steering direction that maximizes the rate of change of semi-major axis for descending trajectories.
Application Value
The 反切向推力 concept is applied in cislunar space research, providing technical support or analytical methods for lunar exploration missions.
