Definition
The equivalent representation obtained by discretizing a continuous Halo orbit. Treating the Halo orbit as a point on a Poincaré section, the state returns to the same point after each orbital period, hence 'fixed point'. Computing the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the monodromy matrix at the fixed point determines the orbit's stability and the direction and initial perturbation magnitude of derived invariant manifolds. The paper uses perturbation magnitudes of 30 to 70 km to satisfy the linear approximation.
