Definition
In the phase space near a libration point, velocity boundary conditions defining transit orbits. Initial velocities inside the velocity wedge correspond to transit orbits; velocities on the wedge boundary correspond to asymptotic orbits (coinciding with manifold curves); velocities outside are non-transit. This concept translates manifold tube boundary conditions into velocity-space constraints, facilitating numerical computation of transit orbits.
