Definition
The geometric representation of the glide slope constraint: a cone with its apex at the landing point, vertical axis, and half-angle β, whose interior defines the safe flight region for the lander. The constraint itself is convex, but coupling with nonconvex dynamics makes the overall optimal control problem nonconvex.
Application Value
This concept is essential for understanding motion characteristics in orbital design and control, and plays a vital role in mission success.
