Definition
The point along a trajectory where the speed reaches a local maximum. Applying a deceleration maneuver at this point maximizes the change in Jacobi constant for a given velocity increment, thereby lowering the spacecraft's energy at minimum cost. This is the location where the second impulse is applied in the four-impulse low-energy transfer scheme.
