Definition
In spatial CR3BP two-impulse transfer design, a procedure that fixes the initial speed magnitude and varies the velocity direction angle to find the closest projection point on a section, thereby simplifying the coupled three-parameter problem (initial speed, direction angle, flight time) into a two-parameter estimation problem.
Application Value
Multi-impulse maneuvers apply velocity increments in segments, enabling more flexible Earth-Moon transfer trajectory design and suitable for orbit transfers under complex mission constraints.
