Definition
A manifold-like structure formed by applying small velocity corrections to natural invariant manifolds derived from idealized restricted three-body models. Since natural manifolds deform under realistic perturbations, corrections are applied to satisfy mission constraints (e.g., perilune altitude), extending the feasible transfer design space. First proposed by Davis et al. for Earth-to-EML3 Halo orbit transfer design.
Application Value
Pseudo-Manifold plays an important role in orbit maneuver design, analysis, and transfer planning for cislunar missions.
