Definition
The process of using low-thrust to increase a spacecraft's Jacobi energy beyond C₁, closing the neck region and permanently confining the spacecraft within the lunar region. Unlike ballistic capture (relying on natural dynamics), permanent capture requires active energy reduction. Applied in this paper for end-of-life GEO satellite disposal in the lunar region.
Application Value
该机制使得航天器无需主动减速即可被目标天体引力捕获,显著节省推进剂。对于大质量航天器的长时间转移,该推进方式可大幅降低推进剂消耗。该矩阵在可观测性分析和滤波器设计中起关键作用。
