Earth Restricted Three-Body Problem (ERTBP)

Definition

The Earth Restricted Three-Body Problem (ERTBP) is the specific application of the Elliptic Restricted Three-Body Problem to the Earth-Moon system. Unlike the Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem (CR3BP), which assumes the two primary bodies move in circular orbits, the ERTBP accounts for the eccentricity of the Moon's orbit ($e \approx 0.0549$), allowing the two primary bodies to move along elliptical orbits. This extension enables the ERTBP to more accurately describe the real dynamical environment of cislunar space.
