Infrared Radiation
Infrared radiation is electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between visible light (approximately 0.7 micrometers) and microwaves (approximately 1 millimeter) in the electromagnetic spectrum, typically generated by the thermal motion of matter. In space observation, infrared radiation is widely used for celestial target detection, atmospheric composition analysis, and satellite thermal control system design, serving as a fundamental physical concept in space science and remote sensing.
