Definition
A spatial region where a navigation constellation cannot provide users with effective signal coverage. In cislunar space, GNSS signals suffer severe attenuation when propagating from Earth toward the Moon, causing the lunar far side and portions of Earth-Moon transfer orbits to become coverage blind spots. This is one of the core problems driving the construction of independent cislunar navigation constellations, addressed primarily by libration point orbit and resonant orbit satellites.
