Definition
The two-dimensional specialization of the CR3BP, assuming the two primaries move in uniform circular motion in a common plane while the massless third body is confined to that plane. In the Earth-Moon system this model neglects small variations in the lunar orbital inclination. Despite its simplifications, PCR3BP effectively captures fundamental low-energy transfer dynamics, especially the periodic orbit and invariant manifold structures near libration points.
Application Value
The 平面圆形限制性三体问题 concept is applied in cislunar space research, providing technical support or analytical methods for lunar exploration missions.
