Definition
A method of parameterizing continuous thrust control signals using B-spline basis functions. The control signal is expressed as a weighted sum of B-spline functions with control points as optimization variables. A q-th order B-spline with non-repeated internal knots ensures C^q continuity. This approach converts the infinite-dimensional continuous thrust problem into a finite-dimensional parameter optimization, widely used in trajectory optimization and attitude control.
