Definition
The terrestrial-coverage portion of an Earth-Moon communication constellation. Deployed on unstable L3 halo orbits, the segment provides line-of-sight relay between the Earth and Moon, enabling continuous communication for terrestrial locations that cannot directly see the Moon. A 6-satellite design achieves 100% communication availability for approximately 97% of terrestrial users.
