A crewed space station deployed on a periodic orbit in near-lunar space, serving as a transit hub for lunar landing missions. Typical deployment orbits include NRHO, L2 Halo, and DRO. Functions include logistics transfer, crew exchange, lunar tracking and communication, and deep-space mission staging. NASA's Gateway is a representative example.
