On April 23, 2026, the 2026 Space Art and Culture Forum was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Themed "inspiring innovation and creativity in space culture," the forum aimed to deepen the implementation of Xi's cultural philosophy, establish a cross-disciplinary dialogue platform between aerospace technology and culture, and build space culture "soft power" that matches China's aerospace "hard power."

Li Guoping, Chief Engineer of the China National Space Administration (CNSA), attended and delivered a keynote speech. He stated that since the 18th Party Congress, China's aerospace industry has achieved historic accomplishments. The forum brought together representatives from aerospace, culture, media, and film sectors, including Chinese astronaut Jiang Xinlin from the Shenzhou XVII crew, renowned musician and conductor Yu Hai, and Sir Ibet Live, CEO of the UK Science Museum Group.

Zhang Tao, Director of the CNSA News and Publicity Center, delivered a keynote on inspiring innovation in space culture. Experts from various fields exchanged views on preserving and promoting the aerospace spirit, applying culture and arts in the aerospace industry, and advancing international cooperation in space culture.

The forum released the 2026 China Space Day theme song "Stars and Rivers Rush," and launched the International Space Art Design Co-Creation Camp and the "Space Life 2056" science fiction film project collection. The forum was jointly organized by the CNSA News and Publicity Center and the China Space Foundation, with Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts and Sichuan Daily Media Group as co-organizers.
