Daqi-2 (AEMS, Atmospheric Environment Monitoring Satellite) is a self-developed atmospheric environment monitoring satellite with the capability for comprehensive detection of global atmospheric composition, greenhouse gases, and aerosols. The satellite data will be used for environmental monitoring, climate change research, and air pollution control applications.

This launch is another successful mission for China's space program in 2026, as well as another routine launch for the Long March rocket series. The Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center performed well throughout the entire launch process, ensuring the complete success of the mission.
