SpaceX Fram2 Mission Makes History
Summary: On April 1, 2025 (Eastern Time), SpaceX's Fram2 mission successfully launched from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. Fram2 made history — it was the first time humans traveled to a polar orbit (inclination close to 90 degrees) aboard a spacecraft, flying over Earth's north and south polar regions. The mission was conducted in partnership between SpaceX and the Polaris Program (Explorer Foundation), with 3 passengers flying in a polar orbit at approximately 500 km altitude for 3 to 5 days, capturing the first high-quality images of Earth's polar regions.
