Beyond Gravity Signs Largest-Ever Swiss Launch Vehicle Contract with Ariane Group

Summary: On July 8, 2026, Beyond Gravity and Ariane Group announced the largest deal in Beyond Gravitys Swiss launch-vehicle business; the operational-phase contract begins at the end of 2026.

According to reports, on July 8, 2026, Swiss aerospace structures supplier Beyond Gravity and European launch-vehicle prime Ariane Group jointly announced a multi-year contract covering the supply of payload fairings and related composite structures for two operational European launchers — Ariane 6 and Vega-C. The deal is the single largest order ever signed by Beyond Gravity within its Swiss launch-vehicle business.

Under the agreement, the operational phase is scheduled to start at the end of 2026 and will run for several years. Beyond Gravity will draw on its clean-room and composite manufacturing capacity in Emmen, Switzerland, to deliver payload fairings, inter-stage sections, and adapters to Ariane Group, with delivery cadence tied to the launch rhythm of the two rockets. Beyond Gravity management stated that the contract helps stabilize capacity utilization at its Swiss sites and is expected to drive hiring of composite engineers and manufacturing staff.

The signing comes shortly after Ariane 6 entered commercial service and Vega-C returned to flight, putting Europe’s workhorse launchers into a relatively密集 launch campaign. Sourcing large composite structures such as fairings from Swiss soil further locks in the Swiss leg of the European launcher supply chain. For Ariane Group, concentrating a long-term order with a single supplier under the largest-ever award supports lower unit cost and shorter delivery cycles.
